In an effort to keep our members and guests up to date on the COVID-19 situation in Vermont, we continue to monitor local, state and federal requirements and recommendations as they relate to this virus. We wanted to share the current status as we understand it as of today.
As you know, Vermont Governor Phil Scott issued an executive order on March 13th declaring a State Of Emergency which called for initial mitigation provisions to help slow the spread of COVID-19, commonly known as the coronavirus. On March 23rd the Governor signed an Addendum to include a work from home status for many businesses. The following day, March 24th, another Addendum was signed ordering a “Stay Home/Stay Safe” order which asked all citizens to stay home as much as possible. This order included the closing of many non-essential businesses and only allowed for companies providing essential services to remain open.
Additionally, on March 30th, the Governor issued another Addendum to clarify the stay at home order. It reads: “For the purpose of clarifying Stay Home/Stay Safe as it relates to the suspension of lodging operations, “lodging” shall include, but not limited to……..parks for recreational vehicles and campgrounds, all public and private camping facilities…..”.
The original Executive Order and all Addendums are in effect until April 15, 2020. It is expected that all or parts of the order may be extended, but a timeframe remains uncertain at this time. We will work hard to keep you updated as more information becomes available.
